COURSE WORK
You should begin with the
Driver Education Program. The worksheets will direct you as to what to read,
where to locate the answers, the exercises to complete, and when to take tests.
GRADING POLICY
WORKSHEETS
Only specific answers will be accepted. In PEN's opinion, excessively
incomplete, illegible, or worksheets without specific answers will be considered
a failure for the program without refund, regardless of the testing scores.
TESTING
A passing grade = 75% average or higher. Two retests are allowed if an
average of 75% or better is not initially achieved. There is a $5 fee per
retest.
The parent or guardian of the minor must administer the tests. The student must
not have access to any of the testing materials until the corresponding
worksheet has been completed. Upon completion of testing, the parent or
guardian must sign, date, and print their California Driver's License or
California Identification Card number on the test answer sheet where indicated.
This certifies that the student completed the test without help.
Programs must be completed and received by PEN no later than 30 days after
materials were received. Should you require more time to complete the program,
the following fees and terms apply:
Time Extension Fees
10 days = $15
11-30 days = $25
Extension fees must be payable to PEN and submitted with the completed course
work within the designated time.
COMPLETION
You must return the following materials to PEN in the pre-addressed
priority mail envelope provided:
All worksheets
All test answer sheets
All tests
COMPLETION CERTIFICATES
Upon receipt of the student's material it will take PEN up to 10 business days
to correct. Completion certificates will then be mailed upon successful
completion of worksheets and testing. Otherwise, PEN will mail a notice
specifying why the certificate has not been mailed.
PEN's on-line course consists basically of the same materials but these
are provided electronically thereby eliminating much paperwork and expediting
the process of obtaining your Driver's Ed. Completion Certificate.
COST
The total cost of the course, including shipping and handling,
is $99.00. This includes the completion certificate.
